ECD
manufacturers several ceramic materials formulated
to meet the particular needs of specific
applications.
|
| PZT-5B |
PZT-5B has
higher sensitivity and piezoelectric activity than
PZT-5A, with a slightly lower Curie temperature.
|
| PZT-5R |
This material is
used in applications such as towed array lines.
PZT-5R has high acoustic sensitivity, and high
coupling, while maintaining high permittivity.
|
| PZT-5M |
This material
was developed for medical imaging to have very good
sensitivity and high permittivity, and still
maintain a good Curie temperature.
|
| PZT-5K - New Spec |
This material
was developed to maximize the sensitivity and
permittivity, while still achieving a Curie
temperature that is workable.
|
| PZT-7A |
This material is
used in ultrasonic delay lines and other high
frequency shear resonance applications. PZT-7A is a
material featuring a high shear coupling coefficient
with low permittivity, and high temperature
stability. Its ageing characteristics are extremely
low (high time stability), providing extremely low
phase distortion in electrical resonance circuits.
|
| PZT-7D |
With lower
dissipation than PZT-7A, this material is used in
applications requiring higher power handling
capability. PZT- 7D is a modified PZT-7A material,
characterized by a higher permittivity and
piezoelectric activity with only a slight reduction
in coupling. Its extremely low ageing
characteristics provide very stable, highly
reproducible operation.
|
| PC6/PT2 |
This material is
a modified lead titanate and has a large
piezoelectric effect in the thickness mode as
compared to the radial moded. As a result of this
property, this material is particularly useful in
sonar receiver arrays and non-destructive testing
equipment. |
