The company has developed a disposable piezoelectric ceramic plate for this novel medical technology, which is ideal for applications such as the separation of micro emboli from blood during open-heart surgery.

Leading manufacturer of ceramic components, Morgan Technical Ceramics ElectroCeramics (MTC ElectroCeramics), is undertaking a Shorter Knowledge Transfer Partnership (sKTP) project with Glyndŵr University. The project, which will last 26 weeks, is to design and build an energy harvesting demonstration system that will provide a renewable source of energy.
