Morgan Electro Ceramics manufacture coaxial
components suitable for use as resonators or as inductors.
We currently offer components manufactured using our D20 and D36 materials. We are able to offer a range of
temperature coefficients in each material type for specific applications so that the components can also
be used for TCF tuning where appropriate.
Our process uses a proprietary system to deposit a uniform layer of highly conductive thick film silver
applied to the surface of the components. This gives consistent high Q values for this type of
component when coupled with a readily solderable surface for surface mounting of these components or
for assembling the components together to manufacture bandpass filters.
We offer a range of standard profile sizes (as detailed) from 4mm to 11.5mm in cross section.
Dependant on the choice of material, cross section and component type (either 1/2

or 1/4 l
) we can offer components with frequencies from 150 MHz up to
7.6 GHz.
The frequency of a 1/4 l
coaxial resonator is inversely proportional to the length of the component
and the square root of the
of the material.
For a given frequency a 1/2
l
coaxial resonator will be twice the length of the equivalent 1/4
l
component.
