Morgan Technical Ceramics ElectroCeramics (MTC ElectroCeramics) specialises in design and manufacture of piezoelectric ceramic components and ultrasonic sensors for the flow measurement of utilities including gas, heat and water. The use of this solid state ultrasonic technology eliminates the use of less reliable moving parts. This electrical method of measurement also lends itself particularly well for linking up with so called SMART meters which are being rolled out internationally largely backed by government regulation of utilities supplies.
MTC ElectroCeramics provides high performance piezoelectric ceramics, sensors, transducers and capacitors for a wide range of applications in process control and monitoring markets, including in-line measurement and sensing.
Our piezoelectric ceramics are ideal for use in ultrasonic sensors and transducers that give accurate measurement of critical parameters such as level, flow, vibration and pressure. The piezo ultrasonic sensors can be combined with optical, temperature, pressure and other sensors to provide OEMs with a complete multi-functional integrated sensor package from a single source. The uptake of SMART meters for measuring domestic use of gas, heat and water often calls for the accuracy and the solid state solution that can be achieved with MTC’s piezoceramic components, sensors and transducers.
Our custom multilayer, bimorph actuator and sensor capabilities are suitable for valve applications and our components are enabling efficient ultrasonic inspection, gas and heat metering and leakage detection.
For applications such as machine monitors, power transducers and proximity sensors, we provide a range of components and sub-assemblies. We work closely with customers to develop bespoke products to meet their requirements for increased reliability in harsh processing environments.
