Management Accountant
The Role – Principal Objectives:
Responsible for the collection and analysis of site financial data to support business planning, statutory and corporate reporting, costing and margin analysis, cash and asset management and working capital management. In addition this role must ensure internal controls are robust and effective.
• Develop and implement the financial strategy to deliver the Business goals for profitable growth, including balance sheet and asset management.
• The collation of appropriate financial data and presentation of required monthly financial reports.
• Support the General Manager / SMT in producing robust forecasts of financial performance, and identifying (rapidly and early) those areas where the financial outlook for the business requires corrective management action.
• Ensure a good understanding of the business activities in order to contribute fully to “business” issues.
• Review and maintain costing system.
• Ensure the business maintains robust internal controls which will ensure compliance with financial regulations and Morgan Crucible group policies.
• Ensure that investments (including Capex) are properly justified and prove to be effective for the business objectives.
• To review large contract and business initiatives to ensure financial and contractual aspects are addressed.
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the UK Financial Controller and ensure an accurate and timely information flow.
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with personnel within the centralised accounts functions.

• Able to influence people at all levels of the organisation, and secure their buy in and commitment.
• High energy and an ability to demonstrate resilience in achieving goals/targets.
• Attention to detail and an ability to deliver to the highest standard, within rigid timeframes.
