• The Role – Principal Objectives :
  
• To support the transducer development and new product introduction (NPI) team with general metalworking, including lathe, mill, pillar drilling, grinding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Manufacture and assembly of prototype components and tooling from drawings and sketches, and also helping turn general ideas into reality.
• General machining work to support production engineering as above and to refurbish / make new tooling.
• The Person – Key Requirements :
  
• Minimum 2 years experience of machining in a machine-shop environment.
• A good understanding of technical drawings, including dimensional tolerances, geometric tolerances, surface finishes and fits.
• Ability to program / use CMM and quickvision measuring systems is an advantage, along with a fundamental understanding of general measuring equipment
• “Can Do” hands on approach
• Willing to share ideas and respect / learn from others.
• Tidy and methodical with high personal pride
