CI Engineer
The Role – Principal Objectives:
Responsible for identifying and implementing both standards & improvement ideas and ensuring that manufacturing controls are adequate and data is captured to demonstrate this requirement: -
• Provide and lead a structured methodological approach to problem solving;
• Provide the bias within engineering to focus on cost savings, working on general manufacturing and systemic processes;
• Clearly identify the cost of poor quality and deliver hard line savings;
• Reduce material costs (WIP, Finished Goods) using VSM;
• Introduce Flow / Workplace Organisation (Plant Layout, possible 5S) plant wide;
• Carrying out process audits to identify potential areas of nonconformity and develop resolutions;
• Be familiar with testing and inspection routines used to check product quality during the production process;
• Auditing against national and international standards such as ISO14001, ISO 9001:2000 etc.;
• Leading root cause analysis and develop training for all personnel to ensure that route causes are found and eliminated;
The Person – Key Requirements:
• Relevant previous experience, ideally within either a fast moving component manufacturing environment or high complexity batch processing, is essential;
• Proven experience of problem solving;
